Spotlight Grant Program

A Spotlight Grant is a grant of up to $1,000 that supports activities or program work outside of an organization’s normal operating expenses and meets an immediate need.

The Spotlight Grants Program supports one-time activities and program work that:

  • identifies and raises awareness of community needs.

  • creates forums for public dialogue, problem solving or community building.

  • inspires philanthropy and volunteerism.

  • advances equal access to community resources and opportunities.

  • strengthens and sustains local nonprofits and organizations.

Priority will be given to grant proposals that serve low-income residents, celebrate and strengthen the diversity and unique qualities of the community and nurture civic engagement and volunteerism.

Spotlight Grants do not support operating expenses, annual appeals, ongoing programs, capital expenses for public buildings or open space or grants to individuals for travel or research.

Spotlight Grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
