| Leadership changes at BCF
Dear Friends of the Brookline Community Foundation, As Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Brookline Community Foundation, I want to let you know that I have accepted the resignation of BCF Executive Director Molly Paul. Molly has devoted ten years of tireless and dedicated service to BCF and the community of Brookline, four of those years as Executive Director. The entire board joins me in understanding and respecting Molly’s decision to resign. Molly has decided that the time is right in her life to step back and take time to enjoy her ever-expanding family and the time she has left with her aging parents. We thank her for her lasting contribution to BCF and the community at large. Though Molly’s departure is a loss to the BCF team and community, and leadership transitions are always a challenge, we feel that BCF is in a particularly strong position as an organization to be facing this transition. With a knowledgeable and talented staff, an exceptionally dedicated board, and tremendous community support, we are confident we will attract a strong Executive Director to lead the organization to continued success in the new decade. BCF has been able to offer vital support to the community, its most vulnerable citizens and community-based organizations during these challenging times. We will continue to do so and will grow stronger. All of us at BCF are proud and grateful that, during these tough economic times, the community of Brookline has shown exceptional support of the Foundation and its mission, through the steadfast contributions of past donors as well as a record number of new donors stepping up during this period of recession to illustrate what a unique and cohesive community we have in Brookline. The board and staff of the Brookline Community Foundation are grateful to Molly Paul for all she has contributed for the good of BCF and Brookline, and we look forward to continuing to fulfill our mission on behalf of the community. Sincerely, Tom Mendelsohn Board Chairman |
