FAQDoes my grant need to be post-marked, or received by the deadline? Applications must be submitted to the office by the end of the day March 15. You may hand-deliver, mail, or e-mail your proposal (but we must receive hard copy support letters and cover letters). If the deadline date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, applications are due in the office the following Monday. When will I be notified about the status of my grant application? The grants committee will review your proposal and decisions will normally be made by June 1 for March 15 proposals. How much money can I ask for in my grant? Grants generally range from $5,000-$25,000. What will not be funded? Costs incurred before grant decisions are released Conferences and travel Individual college scholarships Annual appeals Expenses that are normally part of the operating budget of the Town or another government agency. Fund-raising events Specifically, what types of things get funded? New or pilot programs Operating expenses Capital improvements Training and organizational development Challenge grants |
