Steps to Success

Brookline Community Foundation has supported Steps to Success since its inception. Through grants, advocacy with the Town, and technical assistance, Steps to Success works to level the playing field for low-income and recent immigrant Brookline students. Focusing primarily on students and families who reside in public housing, this program provides its participants in grades 4-12 with academic support, enrichment and career awareness programs, and summer internships, all with the goal of making college an aspiration and a reality for these students.  Support of BCF helps Steps to Success ensure that college and a successful future are attainable dreams for all graduates of Brookline High School. 2006 marked the High School graduation of the first Steps to Success class. 84% of the graduates from the program are going on to college.
